Highlights from our day:
Students worked on illustrations to make a nursery rhyme book as a gift for their Roots of Empathy baby. Mrs. Campbell's class had a visit from baby Felix and Mrs. Bates' class visited with baby Warren today!
Students in math continued to work on strategies for addition. Mrs. Campbell's group used base 10 blocks and ones to show their understanding of adding 2 digit numbers. Ask your child what they did in their math group today.
Students were using paddles and balls in gym to practice hitting the ball into a bin (target).
The coast group did a guided drawing of a banana slug today and learned about why they have slime, how they breathe, and where they live in the rainforest. The Arctic group looked at photos from a student's trip to the Yukon and discussed what it would be like to live there. They also had time to read and look at picture books set in the Arctic.
