Today was an exciting day with lots of new routines and events!
Today we had our Learning Commons Orientation. We got to meet with Mrs. Carde and get our library books. All kids could choose to either put their library books in their book bins or take them home in their backpacks. We will use our daily IGNITE time to exchange books each day when kids are ready.
Ask your child what we did with Mr. Kelly during our Fine Arts Time (hint: Are all lines the same? Line Hunt, Harold and the Purple Crayon)
Ask your child about our visit from Saakokoto. He is an Elder from our community. We talked about what an Elder is. Ask your child how to say thank you in Saakokoto's language (hint: hand over heart...). Ask your child about the Sacred 5 Colors (hint: see the picture below).
