Reminders:
- Friday is the Terry Fox Run. We will be participating in this event along with TMC school and Tuscany school. We will be going on the run regardless of weather, so please check the forecast so that your child will be warm enough.
- Pledge forms (optional participation) will be sent home tomorrow for the TFR. We are also collecting "Toonies for Terry" all week
- The Book truck will be here Wednesday
- Choir will start on Tuesday, October 1st at lunchtime for students who are interested in participating. Permission forms were sent home earlier in the month.
Learning about feelings
Ms. Martens joined our pod today to talk to us about feelings and how we communicate our feelings. We discussed the emotions we observed from the babies in our Roots of Empathy program. We talked about body language, facial expressions and how we can help one another feel better.
Music
Mrs. Coulson was here to teach us music today. Students are excited to be working on creating fall compositions (songs).
Mapping our School
We spent some time outside today and worked collaboratively to map and name different parts of our schoolyard.We also read the book, My Map Book. We will be sending some time mapping using loosing parts and then moving on to creating illustrated maps.
