We continued to work on developing our writing skills today, and wrote from our memory pockets. Students are being encouraged to write down the sounds that they hear for words that they do not know the conventional spelling for. Encourage your children to write down a beginning, middle and an ending sound for words when writing at home.

In inquiry one group continued to create Emily Carr trees and incorporated movement by using wavy lines to create the sky as a background in their study of the western coast. The other group learned about narwhals and their unique physical features, and completed a drawing of a narwhal in their study of the arctic.
