During math today students worked on developing skills for addition. Some groups were introduced to using doubles plus one, another group sharpened their addition skills using power of ten cards and students also shared their own personal strategies for addition.
During our inquiry time today Peace A drew and labeled animals found on the west coast specifically eagles, cougars and orcas.
Peace B learned about community needs of community of and drew and labeled them in their visual journals. Students are also learning about Ted Harrison and will be doing some artwork in a similar style.
